Civil Disobedience Weekly Spotlight

We're going to have a new segment on my radio show, the No State Project, called the Civil Disobedience Weekly Spotlight.  Each week we're going to dedicate part, or all of the show, to an act or acts, of civil disobedience.  The qualifications are they must be consistent with the non-aggression principal, only non-violent, non-cooperation.  As the purpose of the show is to help bring about a voluntary society; non-violent, non-cooperation is one of the most effective tools we have to chip away at the perception of legitimacy those commonly called "government" still enjoy - for now.  To borrow a phrase, we want to continually hack away at the root of evil; to attack the perception it's moral to kill, steal and lie when done by majority vote or with a silly political title.

"Governments" are gangs of killers, thieves and liars and non-violent, non-cooperation is an effective tool to show the masses the true nature of "government".   We use civil disobedience for two main purposes: 1)  to show "governments" are the criminals, they're the one's who initiate the use of force and 2) to hack away at the sacred reverence people have for the ramblings of the insane viz., political laws.

What I encourage, if possible, is to record your own acts of non-violent, non-cooperation with some political fiat or bureaucratic whim.  Pick a political "law", a so-called "mala prohibita"  type where there is no victim, and don't comply.   We'll also have a separate part of the website to keep a record of everything.  The more people see us engaging in civil disobedience, the more likely people will get off the fence and stop just talking about freedom, but living free.  Some examples are getting traffic/parking tickets and of course, broadcasting the No State Project with your own micro AM/FM station without permission.  Feel free to call into the show and ask for ideas on what you can do and this is not limited to North America.

With that in mind, I'm kicking this week off with another one of my acts of civil disobedience.  It's from a phone call to a man working for the IRS; I did not initially tell him I was recording the call.  Once again, I ask a simple question: "are there witnesses with personal, first-hand knowledge Mr. [x] is a taxpayer..." and the tax bureaucrat refuses to answer.  To deflect attention away from his lack of evidence, he asked if the call was being recorded and I did tell him I was recording.  He then accuses me of violating federal "law" and uses that as an excuse to not answer the questions.  Some people, such as lawyers, may also argue I was "practicing law without a license" because I was assisting a friend resolve a tax matter an I do not belong to the bar association cult.  So this was a 2 for 1 special:

We need to always keep in mind we are changing people's perceptions; so it's very important when we engage in non-violent, non-cooperation, we are always professional.  The more calm and rational we are, the worse the politicians look and that's the point of civil disobedience.   Do not even let them be able to call us rude.   Whatever happens, do not start yelling, taunting or degrading the bureaucrat you may be dealing with.  And don't use profanity; it's very powerful for our children to see the politicians are the problem, not us.  My little girls got a real good lesson in the West Mesa Justice Court when the clerk and security suddenly started screaming at me to calm down and treat them with respect.  My then nine year old daughter was horrified and came up to me and said, while looking right at the clerk: "Daddy, why are they yelling at you to calm down, they're they ones who are upset, not you?"  You'll have a pretty difficult time trying to convince her that bureaucrats are nice people.

In other words, let's not act like politicians when we engage in non-violent, non-cooperation.

Bringing about a voluntary society requires us to work towards that end; we have to start living free and encouraging others to do the same.

More Evidence Politicians Are Criminals

Here's the phone call to a Maryland state tax agent Friday, August 13, 2010 (I did cut the boring prelim stuff at the start of the call and edited out the client's name).  This is just one more piece of evidence politicians and bureaucrats are criminals.  All I do is ask two very simple evidentiary questions and when the agent realizes what it means to have no witnesses and admissible evidence, she responds by getting angry and accusing me of making up stories.  She also lies by stating she said nothing about witnesses.  Here's a small part of the call:

When normal people, professional and respectful of others, realize their accusations are not based on witnesses and admissible evidence, they apologize and politely move on.  Not so with predators calling themselves "government".  A lack of evidence only seems to embolden them.  All politicians and bureaucrats know how to do is 1) kill; 2) steal; and 3) lie to cover up their crimes.  So it's not a surprise to anyone with any experience dealing with these psychopaths.

Pay particular attention to the part where the agent says regarding the income: "now whether it's taxable or not we don't know."  She later claims nobody can answer the question if there is admissible evidence or not and claims no one at the tax agency is an expert on the Maryland evidence code.  She even claims whether someone is a taxpayer with taxable income is not dependent on the qualifications of the one making the accusation.  You'd think if there wasn't admissible evidence they'd just leave you alone.  It helps if you remember politicians are psychopaths and aggressive narcissists; such behavior should be expected.  I just love the part where in frustration she says "Oh god."

Keep in mind this is not an isolated case, that I just happened to call an agent who didn't know what she was talking about.  No, doesn't matter who you call, there's never witnesses or evidence.  Another example is  “Daniel #622” of the California Franchise Tax Board who, on June 9, 2010,  insisted when it comes to tax assessments: “There doesn’t need to be evidence”.  Here's the audio from that call:

Is always bears repeating: governments are gangs of killers, thieves and liars.  Politicians only deserve our disdain, not our compliance.  If compulsory support for governments (taxation) is not enough evidence to convince you they're psychos, then keep checking back here often for more examples like this.

A little late, but here is the first of the videos of the interview I did with Ernest Hancock at his Freedoms Phoenix studio on July 7, 2010.  We spoke about voluntaryism, agorism,  and showed there is no state.  We attack the perception of legitimacy those called "government" need so bad to stay in business, yeah we had some fun.  Governments are just gangs of men & women incapable/unwilling to bring their services to the market like normal people viz., on a voluntary basis.  I finally got the 1st part embedded here, you can see the rest on the forum here.

Adventures in Legal Land Seminars & Workshops - Dealing with Legal Attacks

I'm setting up seminars and workshops for this year regarding dealing with legal attacks. This is for damage control; once attacked by a bureaucrat you've already lost; this is to limit the damage they are going to do.

Seminars & workshops are one day long, usually from 9am to 5pm, sometimes till we get asked to leave.

You'll learn the foundational information so you know and understand why asking questions is so effective. The most effective strategy and method to getting tyrants to leave you alone is to be non-confrontational and to destroy the facade the tyrant is putting up. We make it impossible for the tyrant to make the charade look good. It's very uncomfortable to contradict yourself in front of people who think you're a black-robed god.

Asking if there's evidence of a complaining party is effective, but much more so when you know why and can back it up. Judges can tell when you are not confident and will definitely do what they need to do to get you off-point. We go through a lot of information, including:

* The nature of government and of tyrants' "due process" procedures

* How to write and file motions, including appeals and stopping trials/hearings

* How to effectively cross-examine/question a witness to have him/her declared incompetent

* Why focusing on the witness's competency and the facts is more effective than raising legal arguments

* You'll also learn how to not only get IRS and other agents to admit they don't have any evidence or proof, but how to effectively follow-up and have them stop laughing.

This is the infamous IRS call where the agent laughs when he asserts he doesn't need proof.  It's refreshing to see some honesty from the low level tyrants.  Listen to "Daniel" admit the same thing here.

Each paid admission includes a criminal script and motion template we'll be using at the workshop, both sell separately for $25 each. Admission is $75 per man, woman, and $125 for couples.  We'll be working extensively with each and doing role-playing and mock trial proceedings.

I have arrangements and dates set for two more workshops this year, pre-registration is encouraged, please register soon to ensure the below dates. You can register by using the donation button on the homepage or by sending cash, check or money order to Marc Stevens P.O. Box 31258 Mesa, Arizona 85275-1258.

October 9, 2010.  The Holiday Inn in Council Bluffs, Iowa.  Klaus of We the People Nebraska is working with me on this and the price includes lunch and is $82 per person, $135 per couple.  Please contact Klaus to pre-register, his contact info is 712-366-5753  and PO Box 3507 Omaha, Nebraska 68103.

October 18, 2010, Hilton Universal City Hotel in Hollywood, California.  This is during Libertopia 2010.

I have work to do.  But I'm waiting.  It's been overcast and rainy, and my solar panels have not kept up with my time on the computer, so now I need to give them the time they need to catch up with me.  I sit.  I'm reading a beautiful book, a memorial to John Lennon. (Imagine!)  I glance out the window and admire the stark beauty of the thunderheads building against the rich blue background of high desert sky.  Time is money, I think.  And then some other part of my brain pipes up and says, "WHAT???"  I sit up a bit straighter and try and figure out what just happened.
