A "threat" of pseudoscience is when a person uses valid scientific findings to spout misleading conclusions. Perhaps Shermer should look at the evidence to see if the magic bullet theory and 911 commission report fit the evidence. He may also want to do research and experiment with remote viewing. He should want to do those things if he doesn't want to be promoting pseudoscience under the guise of denouncing pseudoscience.
That said, the scientific studies he talks about in this segment of Beyond Belief has much value.
