Mind-controlled drones
This really is the stuff of nightmares. Just another really good reason not to keep providing psychopaths a structure to carry on mass murder.

Though, could it also make war as we know obsolete? Still pretty scary stuff.

If government services were valuable and the market wanted them, they wouldn't be provided on a compulsory basis.

RE: Mind-controlled drones
I was thinking of killing a murderer.

Oops! Too late.

Am I the only one that thought from reading the post's Subject, that this was going to be about Submitizens (see Citizens) in the form of bureaucrats?!?

Tounge

(ok, it indirectly is)

And anybody else catch themselves contemplating whether this particular drone technology is more brain-controlled than mind-controlled? And whether there is a valid distinction there?

Technology in the hands of control freaks is indeed a very scary thing.

Couldn't have said it better myself, dude. And the distinction (to me at least) is that the mind is more "primary."

Thanks for both the consideration and the time spent to include that, m8. Kudos.

Ok, Lucy, 'splain... ? [Image: original.0]

(is "primary" akin to "primate"? or "primary school"?) [Image: puzzled.gif] [and which 'me' is asking...?!?]

Mmmmm, not really. Suffice it to say, it's part of my Overview thinking (see my definitions in the "WTF?" thread). Besides, anything I say would be a Belief to you as opposed to a Known. If you're interested, there's plenty of information on the nature of consciousness on the Netweb (they have it on computer now! Big Grin ).

Wow! Nice to finally meet you, Al!

(this must be Al Gore, right? right? right-right-right. Al The Internet Is Mine Gore?!)
... seeing as how everything I could possibly turn up on a topic would be in agreement with your position. (sure you didn't mean to make your username DionyZeus?)

And search engines!? Wow2. Hudda thunk of that?!?

Obviously i missed it, so perhaps you can further aid my retard development: is there a search engine that will only return hits of what Dionysus knows and/or believes? (no, wait, Dio is Al, so it's ALL "his" ideas)

I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
Betty when you call Dio
You can call him Al

Cool
[/sarcasm]

Bit of shame actually, for me. Here i was thinkin' I could get some personal perspective, you know, in a community seeking, get to know you and your unique perspective self sense.

Sillie2i.

[//sarcasm2 --but not so much]

Quote:Besides, anything I say would be a Belief to you as opposed to a Known.

Ouch. Prejudice much? [resists temptation (but only partially) to quote Marc here: "you don't know me"...]
I believe know there are quite a few known-s actually. [I know about the Netweb, believe it --or not.]

For me it's more that the wiser default is that so much of what we thought we knew just turned out to not be so, thus I believe it more probable that a lot of what we think we know now just ain't so. So I'll take sewing of the verbal fabric on the "belief" side. (i believe eye2 wrote this, tho; i know you didd'int) Tounge
