Bar President says represent yourself!
Not a breaking story though. I have a few good friends that are lawyers and I also have lots of free legal advice from lawyers I do work for (IT). One of my friends was a County Bar President last year and in discussions this week (consisted of me cornering him about self representation and legal terms :biggrinblue: ) He admitted that most matters are best handled by yourself if you do your homework. I put the question to him...

"Am I better off defending myself in most smaller matters such as traffic, small claims, and other civil cases?"
His reponse was "probably"...then I asked, "Is it because I can ask things you can't to get closer to the truth?" He said "definitely". He told me the "judge" would crucify him and this would jeopardize his bar membership. We, on the other hand have nothing to lose. If you keep your questions on the mark and expose the predetermination that the courts have already found us guilty before we show up, our case have a better chance of being thrown out to protect the "system" from review. Many of my lawyer friends say the law is not what they thought it was when they went to school and are reletively disheartened by the state of affairs in the courts today.

On an up note, He gave me full access to his law library whenever I want! He also gave me a Blacks Law Dictionary!

I didn't see that anyone has posted a link to this elsewhere, so here is a link to Bouvier's Law Dictionary 6th Edition 1856.

Does anyone have a link to an online Black's Law Dictionary? My old link is dead and Google isn't returning anything useful.

My source to the first and second editions appear to be missing as well. Some things you may want to consider.

Quote:As a legal researcher, I receive many inquiries in the area of law, especially pertaining to so-called "sovereignty." One of the major inquiries I receive consistently from people interested in learning law and/or becoming so-called "sovereign" is what edition of Black's Law Dictionary ("BLD") should they purchase.

Considering there are many editions, this is a good question. My answer is: the 5th edition!

Black's Law Dictionary, 5th edition is the best "BLD" to purchase and study. I personally learned one-third of all that I know in regards to American law from studying this edition of "BLD."

You see, the 5th edition of "BLD" is reportedly the edition modern day judges use in American courthouses, which are really merchant tribunals based upon how they operate today. Courts are measures and machines for collecting cash for governments nowadays. You see this all time pertaining to traffic cases. However, this is not the fault of judges, the court system, politicians, or government in my opinion. ...the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions of "BLD" are far better than the editions that came after the 5th editions. - Djehuty Ma'at-Ra
