99.9% proof is not believable if you have Faith.

Below is a conversation I had this week with a true “believer”.

The conversation is disjointed but I believe that you can follow it.

We have been discussing religion for 3 years.

He is an educated man, gentle, kind, and college educated.

He grew up Buddhist and was born again loving Jesus.

I am sharing this conversation to demonstrate how we expressed ourselves.

Notice how he responds to his children's question about going to church.

What I can say is this: God loves everybody.  That means Jews and Gentiles (Atheists).  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on  him, should not perish, but have eternal life. 

And whoever doesn't believe in Jesus will spend Eternity in a Lake of Fire.

Do you really believe this?

How old is the earth?  

What I can say is this: God loves everybody.  That means Jews and Gentiles (Atheists).  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth on  him, should not perish, but have eternal life. 

And whoever doesn't believe in Jesus will spend Eternity in a Lake of Fire.
Unfortunately, yes.  The whole world, I included, deserves hell for breaking God's law (such as the ten commandments).  The Bible calls it sin.  Because of his righteousness, he can't just let us go freed.  Death is the result: some body has to die.  Punishment in the form of animal sacrifice made by the high priest of Israel year after year until the temple was destroyed is the picture of God's mercy.  But the blood of bulls and goats is insufficient to remove our sin but temporary.  It simply covers sin, not removes it.  God's love made a provision of his perfect only begotten son, sent to represent man as a perfect sacrifice for us once and for all.  Those who don't believe were heading for hell anyway for their sin, but they still can change the process by believing what God did for them on the cross of Jesus for as long as they are still alive.  Judgement is pronounce after death.  They can mock God's provision all the way to hell if they want to but they can blame no one for their actions.  Because God did not make them robots but human with choices. 

Do you really believe this?
Absolutely!

How old is the earth?  
I don't know.  Do you?  Were you there or was anyone there when He hangs the earth on nothing.  Who was His counselor?

There are many more dating methods than Carbon 14 that CORRELATE.

They are inventing futile tools to justify their thory of the age of the earth.  In the Hebrews Bible, the prophet of God's prophecy has to come true to the details 100%.  If not, God hasn't spoken it.  These predictions made aided by various methods (past and future) are a form of predictions compare to the prophet of Baal.  Sorry, no pun intended!  10% is unacceptable.  Even 99.99% is not acceptable in my book.

Stu,  I must first apologize for the hypocrites and that includes me.  The cartoon may portray me in someway, more or less.  I am sorry.  This reminds me of my children: two girls and a boy, my son being the yougest.  They were about 4,6 and 8 or somewhere in that neighborhood.  They came to me on a Saturday evening wishing to see me.  I am certain they had held a private meeting.  They discussed the issue and decided together to approach me.  My middle child spoke up after I was seated and ready to listen to what they had to say, "Dad, we don't want to go to church".  I asked them why not.  They told me of hypocrites in our church.  They gave me examples of those in our church and I know them all.  I agreed with them but I told them that Jesus said, "come follow me".  He did not tell us to follow pastor so and so, Mr. or Mrs. so and so.  Because if we follow them we will be disappointed.  We know what happens to Peter when he walks to Jesus on the water when he took his eyes off Jesus.  He started to sink when his focus was distracted by the winds and waves.  Christians aren't perfect: we still sin.  Hopefully, sin less and less, because Jesus said, "If you love me, keep my commandments.

So there it is: 99.9% of scientific proof will not budge him.

He wants eternal life.

Science can only offer a believer 99.9% proof.
