The documentation of Adventures in Legal Land SUCCESSES continues to grow. There's this forum thread and then there is a large collection over on the WIKI, so have fun, point these out to your friends, your enemies, and even to those at the site whose name shall not be mentioned!

There are people out there who would like nothing better to strip, ummm (treading carefully here) . . . ."freedoms" away from us. Those are the people I have a problem with. You know, the psychopaths. |

RE: Adventures Success Stories?
NOTE: I now (next day) realize that I'm responding to a very old post, and I'm unlikely to get a response from the first poster of this thread. Here it is anyway:
I'm probably way out of my league here, but I trust that you will be kind and take my points into consideration. I have had a recent case dismissed, and the reason cannot be clearly determined. The paperwork that I got said that the police officer (yes, in a traffic matter) had no recollection of the events, or something to that effect. In review, I see that there were several reasons why this ticket would have been dismissed, and more on how it could have been dismissed. Why did the officer not show up? Was he notified? I have no way of knowing. Is the judge saving face? I think so, but who can know? What is going on in the minds of those who's jobs center around politics? That's a whole world of speculation that is entirely distasteful to me, though if I had to venture a guess, I would throw greed up in the mix. It seems to be what is killing an otherwise beautiful world. I'm new here, but according to Marc's book, it seems to me that damage control is the message here. The last thing that anybody wants to do is have their lives in the hands of these cretinous bureaucrats. Marc's philosophy is to strike at the root, and he's found something that seems to confound the vast majority, if not all of these paper-pushers. It is not a fair fight. The people that make the rules are not bound to the rules? It seems that way to me. It sucks, but that's the way it is. It is truly insanity. How do you fight insanity? Accusing an insane person of being insane has not been productive in my experience. Driving an insane person a little bit more insane, well, at the very least, it's good for a laugh. At best, it exposes the insanity and provides an opportunity for self-evaluation and ultimately change and redemption. Is the opportunity taken? Not often, I would think, but I believe that exposing the truth is ultimately for the good of society and the individuals within it- even those that deal in lies, deceit, and hatred. That's what's happening here, in my opinion. I have not fully grasped Marc's ideals, but I'm curious. I would like to live in a society where there is a less intrusive government than we have now. Laws get passed, and rights diminish. Soon, our ideas alone are going to make us enemies and prisoners of the government that is supposedly empowered by us, the people. While we can, we'll fight fire with fire, but exploit the insanity to your benefit, rather than exploiting goodness and honesty with malice, hatred, and lies. I know I threw a lot a stuff in there at the end. I took a lot of stuff out, too, so I have something to throw back at you, just in case. So, fighting frivolous traffic citations and the like is done by distancing ourselves from the biased decision of an individual. The goal is to cut off the action well in advance of a judgement from such an individual (who is likely biased). Marc's question of whether the code applies seems reasonable to me, except that the real answer to it is that "we have the guns", and until they start answering honestly, we have a window of opportunity to jump through. Hopefully, we're on the 1st floor! TheDude |
