fighting a speeding ticket in NC
I used lack of standing to fight a parking ticket in front of a "committee" (they were adamant that it wasn't court) a few months ago.
Now last Saturday I got a speeding ticket. I'm hoping the motion to dismiss will end it :wishmeluck: I ordered the templates. Does anyone know how they are delivered? Are they snail mailed or emailed? |

I did receive the email, however the bottom.letterhead file does not open. Are these the instructions perhaps? If not, I'm wondering which motion to dismiss would be best for a speeding ticket?

If you are charged under a criminal statute, use the criminal one, if this is nothing more than a civil infraction, use the civil one for state. If you are charged with a misdomeaner it is criminal, if it is "infraction" in all probability it is a civil matter. Either way, the method is basically the same. You are doing nothing more than challanging Subject Matter jurisdiction, the argument is the same. You should have gotten two files when he sent them, your motions, and the script. Keep us updated after you file it, it's interesting to hear of the reactions people get from it. |

Re: fighting a speeding ticket in NC
Hi and Welcome
I don't remember having a bottom.letterhead file issue. Lately Marc has been including a big No State Project graphic at the bottom of his emails. I think he is using a formatting option that allows him to add in an image at bottom of his emails. If you do not see red writing on a green square at the bottom of the email then this is probably the bottom.letterhead file. Mike W. |
