irs help

hi , im trying to find answers to irs questions . My boyfriend just got a levy from his bank that the irs took his money . They also put a levy on his home in new jersey , that is up for sale . He lives with me in pa., can they come into my home ? and search ? We are going to file a letter disputing the debt . And i have to get the levy off of the home . Now the irs never went to court they just file the paperwork for the lein on the house , he never got paperwork from irs about the bank . the bank told us . I know they have to follow rules and i need to find them . He just got laid off , can they take his unemployment check ? Im going thru a foreclosure as well on my home and im fighting that . Any help would be so grateful

Talk to your boyfriend and see what paperwork preceded this, there should have been a 30 day letter prior to a levy.

Hi , the field people came to my home and drop off paperwork for him to fill out about 2 mths ago . Letter 3174 asking for information . I then found out they put a lien on his home . Im going to the court house to see if it is a lien or levy . We never got any paperwork , other than want they drop off at my home .

I hate to suggest this, but you need this to stop. If there was no "jeopardy assessment", then there has to be a 30 letter before a levy. Make sure there was no JA and no 30 day letter for a due process hearing, if not, then an emergency petition to the tax court will stop the levy immediately.

hi , they gave us when they were here 433-a . 433-b , letter 729(DO) (CG) letter 3174 (CG) , letter 71 D (3) of them . Now i see they are going after 10 yrs , just 3 yrs they want 135,000 .
As far as the ja or 30 day there was none . I was surprise as well . You mention emergency petition to the tax court , in which state ? His home is in NJ and he lives in Pa.

We are going to the freedom action next week . And my son was in NH at the porcfest this yr and met you , he loved it !

Am emergency petition would be filed in the federal tax court and Penn. & NY are probably in the same district, though as I think about it, you should seek trial in NY where the house is located. it should not take a trial though.

Hi , It is in Pa. and New jersey , not NY .

Marc , he loved it and stayed for another 2 weeks . He met so many great ppl and the state is so pretty , not liking the bugs ...lol He has been studying and screaming at me to learn , here i am learning .
So much to learn at the same time , enjoying it and getting mad at the same time , remember im doing 2 cases .
I cant put it in better words as he does , it was great talking to alike minds .
