Maybe. Maybe not. The network really would like people to subscribe to their archive. I just pull the commercials out and post a LQ version as a courtesy to visitors and the quality I supply is based on no other consideration than how much time I have on my hands.

FWIW, low bit rate doesn't necessarily translate to low quality audio. If the quality is good to start with, you can actually get pretty low before it gets noticeable, especially with voice, which is mostly what we're encoding for -- and IMO, still isn't too bad considering we're talking about two or three people on the telephone.
