Why you picked your screen name...?

Come on guys, why the screen name?

Re: Why you picked your screen name...?
Mine is all about my pro audio work and pseudonym, "3rd Ear Productions".

I got the idea from Geddy Lee of Rush. Geddy was doing an interview after the release of their Power Windows CD and was discussing why they chose producer Peter Collins. He mentioned that they wanted someone to be a "third ear" and "keeper of the vision". Someone who could help them to break new ground without getting too far away from what a Rush recording should sound like.

So that's it. I went with: 3rd Ear Productions - "We Hear What Others Don't."

The screen name just became an extension of that.

Re: Why you picked your screen name...?
Why "eye" chose my screename... 8-)

Perhaps the expression is familiar, "seeing eye to eye"... where seeing... is seeking to find mutually beneficial agreement, etc... "mindset"...
Here (in cyberspace), using the "2"s is a connection to the typical net/chat lingo-- yet double 2's hopefully referring to me & you. (the goal of 2+2=1/voluntary agreement)

I use the lower case "i" simply as a re"mind"er-- to The Trinity of Moi, aka Me, Myself, and I-I-I... where "little" i points to my accurate significance vs the ego "I" (self-centered "eye", Igore)

Honestly then, there is a "left behind" here (is there a "right behind"? pfffft) :-X relative to my history... Once upon a time I claimed myself to be a "disciple of The Christ" (i2pffffft) and thus there was a inference here to the book's quote of having "eyes to see and ears to hear", regarding light/truth, etc. [side note: along this line, I always liked Michael W Smith's album "Eye 2 i", especially the song "On The Other Side"]

I still hold Light to be the best metaphor for "good"/Life; just that now, as an eXtian, I no longer hold any ("the") book as its (inerrant) witness; rather, Empirical Observation (via the 5 common "senses") is my "Eye" witness or origin. Wink [afterall, take literal Nature out of "the book"/bible and what are you left with In the Genesis? gizmoes & widgets 2 see & hear!]  Wink

Many things in "revelation" religious books hold "Universal" (commonly sensed) maxims (thus why they are so "con"vincing to so many), and so having eyes to hear, seeing eye to eye (one mind), as hearing Life (Liberty & Happiness)... eye2i2hear is thus my personal reminder every time i "see" it/"hear" it... here. 8-)

ps: as to the "All-Seeing Eye" most all are familiar ("hear") with here... Empirical based reason (thank you, Thomas Paine!) & logic is that for me-- where of course, mere men, divine or otherwise, oft fashion themselves to be that "I"(-I-I-Illumination) for others, instead. [imho, The Good Book = The Illuminati!  :o ]

pss: apologies for probably not being a candidate for "funniest screen name post"; as a gesture, my best shot:

P.S.  Even with all of the able help from Sagas I've still got a lot of cranking to do to get 2i2 straightened out.  Then I'll start on Darren.

"funniest" optional, as some are more of the "general interest" or "Curios George" categories...  Wink

Re: Why you picked your screen name...?
I chose this new screen name because everyone assumed I was a dentist. My original screen name was one of a cast of fictional characters i conjured in 11th grade while daydreaming.
it's funny because one of the character names: Sui Juris. a lawyer. maybe i should have used it. there's always the future

Re: Why you picked your screen name...?
I picked my screem name cuz I like to DAMAGE people's "reality". But also cuz I like to stand up to thugs in and out of a court room setting, and since "they" think that I am no more or better that a corporation ie "PERSON" I like to DAMAGE "there" corporation. So I call my biness DAMAGEINC. Plus, I like the song by  8) METALLICA 8)

Damage, Inc. Lyrics
Metallica

Dealing out the agony within
charging hard and no one's gonna give in
Living on your knees, conformity
or dying on your feet for honesty
Inbred, our bodies work as one
bloody, but never cry submission
Following our instinct not a trend
go against the grain until the end

Blood will follow blood
Dying time is here
Damage Incorporated

Slamming through, don't fuck with razorback
stepping out? You'll feel our hell on your back
Blood follows blood and we make sure
life ain't for you and we're the cure
Honesty is my only excuse
Try to rob us of it, but it's no use
Steamroller action crushing all
Victim is your name and you shall fall

Blood will follow blood
Dying time is here
Damage Incorporated

We chew and spit you out
we laugh, you scream and shout
All flee, with fear you run
You'll know just where we come from

Damage Incorporated

GO!

Damage jackals ripping right through you
sight and smell of this, it gets me goin'
Know just how to get just what we want
tear it from your soul in nightly hunt
F--k it all and f--king no regrets
Never happy endings on these dark sets
All's fair for Damage Inc. you see
step a little closer if you please

Blood will follow blood
Dying time is here
Damage Incorporated

Hmm.  With intentions like that maybe you shouldn't be critical of cops and other thugs who like to do the same.

NonEviolently, NonEphysical. A good friend of mine had to damage my "reality" to get me to start thinking, I believe most of us if not all had some one at some time in are lives do this. I still remember that day like it just happened. That day, that moment I will never forget. That spark that set the brush fire in my mind. And I thank him for doing it. Smile

'tru2form' evolved from my own wish to be true to myself first and foremost of all.

Thus, by grace (and effort), may I always be 'tru2form'

Hi Everyone!

I picked LegalGEM because our ministry is Green Earth Ministries and we have a legal case in Lower Alabama (LA) that will nullify the marijuana laws in our state.

Re: Why you picked your screen name...?
Hmmm, I chose my screen name because it is something I tell to my son, "I love you Infinity", meaning my love for him is never-ending, constant; through the physical, ethereal, spiritual aspects.
