Video The Empathic Civilisation
This is the video that Marc played a clip from towards the end of the NSP radio show a couple weeks ago. If you didn't listen to the show, see if you can figure out what section of the audio he played.

The thought of how far the human race would have advanced absent initiatory force
staggers the imagination.

THE POINT: Unlike the government thief, a common thief doesn't claim his "craft" is honest.
Lawyer-like dishonesty a point: The common thief is honest when he tells you he's robbing you.

RSA Animate has a few other good videos on their YouTube channel. Check them out

There was one by a neo-marxist. Real interesting and informative, even though it was wrong. Explained the paradox of compound interest and a few other of the favorite neo-marxist arguments. Good stuff to be familiar with if you ever get into an argument by one. Yes I've heard of the paradox of compound interest, have you ever heard of the problem of economic calculation?

I know the concept. I envision a time when, man's conscious capacity as a creative being, with the law of accelerating returns -- exponential advancing technology -- first will be the total or near total automation of manufacturing basic necessities of increasing quality. Including low cost, optimal, non-aging immortality. GNR stands for genetics, robotics and nanotechnology.

Prices fall towards zero but never reach zero. Allocation of resources will primarily be about increasing energy efficiencies and attracting like-minds to partake in specific technology advancements, projects and arts.
Be it customer, creator, developer and etc.

Do you know of Ray Kurzweil and his model of the Law of Accelerating returns--exponential advancing technology and GNR?

Either costs go to zero or more likely the population moves to trillions. (though that would accelerate GNR that much more)
