Wearing Robes....
Ya know, I was thinking – daydreaming really – and maybe I’m only being half-serious here, but I had an idea… What if we as libertarians started to wear robes into court – the same kind that judges wear? To my knowledge there isn’t any kind of strict dress code for most courtrooms, or official policy which prohibits non-lawyers from wearing black robes. So wouldn’t it be fun if people started to wear robes into court? Not as a fashion statement, but as a way to psychologically emasculate these megalomaniacal thugs; to mock them; and to symbolically illustrate our equality to them as mortal human beings?

Maybe it’s just a silly idea, but I think it could also be a powerful statement, and act of pseudo-civil disobedience.…

I was thinking of that too. I remember Marc made a comment about what the judge would think if everyone wore a black robe too. I'm sure if you did you would not be allowed into the courtroom. It would offend the poor judges fragile ego, and you know they can't handle that. Being that they are so 'honorable' and great LOL

And don't wear anything, excepting maybe underwear, underneath, so they can't have you take them off. :biggrinblue: :bootyshake: :biggrinblue:

Or if they DO ask you to take them off... it gets more interesting. LOL

Re: Wearing Robes....
I was thinking of wearing white robes, or a white shirt and white pants. I haven't been a defendant (yet).

That emphasizes "black=evil, white=good".

The Wicker Man, disturbing movie. We can usually spot the guys who have not read Adventures in Legal Land. This is an idea from my book. :frobro:

Might as well go all the way and bring in a catholic priest/exorcist. They can sprinkle the judge with holy water and point a crucifix at them. Tounge

Marc, I have read the book, although it's been a while since I read it cover-to-cover. Maybe that is where I (subconciously) got the idea. Please don't sue me for copyright infringement. :eekeek:

and yes - The Wicker Man is an excellent film, and I like to read it as a (brilliant) metaphor for statism which is, after all, a glorified cult which engages in human sacrifice (literal and figurative).

BTW, there's a sequel of sorts coming out soon; The Wicker Tree

Re: Wearing Robes....
You need to tell the judge that he must address you as honorable................ LOL I think his ego will be forever crushed.....you could ask him if he treats all of the honorableness's the same way :eekeek:
