TSA buy the numbers
Christopher Elliot, in Newsweek magazine 19-03-2012 Wrote:Patting Down the TSA
How wasteful and ineffective is airport security?

$57Billion = Total Spent on the TSA since 2011

400% = Growth of TSA Staff over the last decade

1,200 = Guns confiscated by TSA in 2011. With a budget of $8billion, that's more than $6million per gun

$1.1Billion = Estimated QUARTERLY revenue LOST by Airlines because of the inconvenience of TSA screening

0 = Number of Terrorists apprehended by the TSA

one caveat: the term "Terrorists" isn't defined
one notation: no statistics given for number of "box cutters" confiscated, yet we get one for guns? [que the SNL "What Up With That?" theme & mental picture here] [/sarcasm]
next caveat: the term "guns" isn't defined either (but thank you Newsweek for using an interpretive 9mm-ish black hand gun image)
next note: no number given for number of cowbells confiscated (whaddup wid dat?!) ok, We all know it's 'cause them Terrorists know better now than to try anything again, what with the TSA on Howdy Duty!

Not NEARLY enough, if you ask me. Those bastards should all be out of business by now.
