Quote Of Day (on Property)
Paul Kohler, in The Death Of Ownership And The Demise Of Property Wrote:Property is, in short, an essential mechanism for the workings of any society but separate from a society's values which set the parameters that establish what is and what is not recognized as property within that particular setting.
--source PDF

[now to define, factually, "a society", as to "a society's values"... ??? Chaos Theory, anyone?]

Re: Quote Of Day (on Property)
I hereby claim that any molecule of carbon dioxide I have ever exhaled from my body to be my property and warn all and [strike]sunday[/strike] Sundry that I will take extreme measures with anyone I catch messing with my property. Capish??? >Big Grin

(That's spozed to be funny, for those who are toooo stooooopid to know that that's spozed to be funny!)

See? THAT's how you establish property rights!

Close but not exactly

First because the property is unbound claims on it will tend to create conflict. defeating the purpose of dividing up property in the first place making it unlikely others will respect or aide this claim.

Second while it's not that there is no force, but that property has never been maintained only by force, so you also need some sort of moral/religious/humanist hook to make it stick as well.

Yeah, I see your point. It's best that it be bounded, kinda like when those Europeons landed on the shore and claimed everything from that point to the end of wherever it ended. That makes a LOT more sense! :biggrinblue:

But ackshully I DID bound my claim. I sed all molocules that I had exhaled from my body. That leaves everyone all THE REST of the molecules, so what the hell is your problem, dude? :bootyshake: LOL

I don't know man, but you better stop polluting my lungs with all the carbon dioxide you pooped out of your mouth or else. :wacky:

Now I got to get a non-E carbon filter so I don't get any of those fishy flavored molecules in my home.

On a side not how to you actually distinguish one molecule of C02 from all the others if not by location.?

Easily. I use the ownership detector Nomos developed which can discern the DNA he has discarded from the DNA the cops scraped from his mouth with the barrel of their gun while they had him spread eagle on the side of the monument to our freedoms in the middle of the national park. It works on carbon dioxide molecules as well as it does on DNA. If YOU can't tell the difference, you'd best beware, 'cuz I CAN TELL, and I will be all down your throat if you dare to even look cross-eyed at one of my molecules! GOT IT?!?!?!? >Big Grin
