Hello From Illinois
Hi all,
I was wondering if there is anyone in Illinois that might like to build a group for study, role playing, general traffic court situations? Recently, I got a speeding ticket and had no one to come to court to help make an affidavit. Additionally, I had no one to role play with. Well, I want to change that and build a group of people that would agree to get together and work on ways to become more effective, and handle ourselves in the court room. Then of course we could discuss procedure where needed, what to file, counter suits or anything else that will help us be more effective. I was thinking we could meet on one of the many webinar programs and just have some general discussions. Although I am looking for people in Illinois, I think we could do this nationwide. Open to ideas here, but one thing is sure - we need to start giving each other support. Mark (Lex Scripta) |

RE: Hello From Illinois
Hey LexScripta:
I live in South-Central Wisconsin. I recently battled a ticket in Cook County, Illinois (District 6, Markham). I think I'm pretty decent with Marc's info up to filing the appeal briefs, where I totally failed. I'd love to be involved with your group, but I'd have to participate remotely. I would be willing to make the drive to Illinois to be a media rep if the court is Chicago/northern Illinois area, and possibly anything between Wisconsin and Saint Louis depending on my schedule. Either way, good luck with your group! Its great that you're doing this. -Pete |

I think we should get together via Skype or something, or in some way do conference calls via Computer. I have a court date June 8, at Woodstock, Il - Speeding ticket. I have the motion template by Marc, and I am going to add the demand for filing of a verified complaint. This link is instructive: http://markmccoy.com/wp/2011/04/30/how-t...n-offense/ |
