My avatar and username
This is a picture of me and my boy Trooper taken a few years back. I am older now of course, but Trooper died of encephalytis from all the mosquitoes down here. He was innoculated properly, but they tore him down anyway. Broke my heart too. Luckily I have many more horses to keep me busy and keep my mind off of his passing.

My username was coined by my Grandmother about 50 years ago. I use it to honor her memory. When I was a child, well not just a child, but throughout my entire life, I was always very hyperactive. Too much energy to be contained in one body. My name is Rick and when I would go tearing through the yard or the house, my Grandmother would say, I swear, that boy tears through things like a ripsaw. Rick, rip,...Ripsaw, and that's what she started calling me. She called me that until the day she died, at the ripe old age of 93.

What a truly wonderful person she was too. A fiery redhead with 1/8 each parts of Scots Irish, and German Jew with the other half being full blooded Cherokee. What a combination. The other side for me paternally was a full blooded Blackfoot Grandmother, and half Blackfoot and English Grandfather.... Now you can see why I can not drink alcohol anymore...HAAA......HEEP GOOD FIREWATER, UGHH !!
