Unbanking
I just came across a site which may be of interest to those who do not want to deal with a bank but who also have to live in the "real world." It's a new company called MANGO which offers prepaid debit card services and check cashing and more.
HERE is where I read about this. Enjoy. - NonE "I just don't understand how this happens."

Re: Unbanking
And then of course there is the 70s version of unbanking! (actually the end of the 60s)
[image=600,300]http://www.leadpipeposters.com/images/0091.jpg[/image] Let's hope that these parasites will self-implode instead. Destruction is not a particularly uplifting activity to enage one's self in. Nonetheless, the visceral reaction is to shout "YES!" Money is such a crucial, foundational part of a civilized world that we really need to find a new way to facilitate the transfer of wealth between willing parties without allowing the fraud of "fractional reserve" theft to corrupt the process. And, sadly, barter ain't it. :rolleyes2: - NonE "I just don't understand how this happens."

Re: Unbanking
And then there is TODAY'S version of unbanking! :biggrinblue:
Quote:But one payment service company told the BBC its customers were experiencing "a complete loss of service" on MasterCard SecureCode. The credit card company later confirmed that loss. Does my little heart good. (I know, Nomos, I ain't spozed to appreciate revenge, but still, it IS human to do so, and even if it ain't mature and grown up and stuff, SHIT MAN, ya gotta love it!) - NonE (wallowing in infantile glee) "I just don't understand how this happens."

I'd exchange my (whatever) for a piece of silver (in the form of a pre-1965 dime/quarter/half for example, or a round of various denominations/weights). Substance for substance. What could be simpler? |
